Christmas Poem

The snow is falling,
Ground turns to white,
Santa tries to hide,
Sneaking at the side,
Bringing all the prize,
Waiting for bide,
Laughing ho ho ho
Then lost out of sight,
Lucky Santa no rule to abide

When I think of a melon
I can see its red fleshy flesh
I can smell the sweetness
I can feel the watery texture
I can taste the freshness down my throat
But watch out too much of sweetness
Will cost you limb amputation.

When I think of an apple
I can see the blue eyes
I can smell the sweetness
I can fell the sexy curves
I can taste the crunchy bite
Take this apple
As an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

When I think of coffee
I can see the elegant black
I can smell the pungency
I can feel the beans
I can taste the luxuries
Grind, grind, grind
Here comes Starbucks.

When I think of Cempedak
I can see the yellowish flesh
I can smell the sweetness one mile away
I can feel the stickiness
I can taste the chewy yellow flesh
Slurrrppppp...... I can’t stop
My watery mouth.

To the Virgins by Robert Herrick (1591–1674)

GATHER ye rose-buds while ye may,
  Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles to-day,
  To-morrow will be dying.

The glorious Lamp of Heaven, the Sun,                                       5
  The higher he’s a-getting
The sooner will his race be run,
  And nearer he’s to setting.

That age is best which is the first,
When youth and blood are warmer;                                   10
But being spent, the worse, and worst
  Times, still succeed the former.

Then be not coy, but use your time;
And while ye may, go marry:
For having lost but once your prime,                                   15
  You may for ever tarry.
